Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham alerted as Riyad Mahrez eyes Leicester City transfer

Leicester under pressure to sell £30m star to Arsenal, Chelsea or Spurs

Riyad Mahrez is reportedly expecting a departure from Leicester City in this summer’s transfer window, alerting ArsenalChelsea and Tottenham to a potential deal.

The Algeria international was a target for a number of top clubs last year after helping the Foxes to their shock title win and being named PFA Player of the Year in the process.
And while Mahrez’s form has dipped this season, he has ended the campaign strongly and could make the step up to a bigger club in time for next season.

Leicester value the 26-year-old winger at around £30million, and are in a strong negotiating position having only tied him down to a new contract back in August.
That deal ties Mahrez down at the King Power Stadium until 2020, but the player is reported to have been promised a move this summer by previous manager Claudio Ranieri.

The Italian was sacked earlier in the season, but Mahrez still expects the Premier League champions to honour that promise, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Arsenal and Spurs are among those at the front of the queue for Mahrez, along with Barcelona and Marseille, while Chelsea could move for him if they lose Willian in the next transfer window.
The Brazilian hasn’t always been a regular for Antonio Conte’s side this season and has been linked with Manchester United.
