Chelsea believe they have reached the head of the
queue in the battle to sign Virgil van Dijk from
Southampton,
The Sun reports.
The Dutchman has been linked with nearly every high-
profile club in the Premier League this year, but the
Blues are said to have offered the Saints highly-rated
centre-back Andreas Christensen – currently on loan
at Gladbach – to sweeten the deal.
