Dybala 'wanted by half of Europe' says Juventus star's agent

The Argentina international has been impressive during his time in Turin and he has earned many admirers across the continent

Paulo Dybala was wanted by 'half of Europe', but the Argentine has sent out a signal of intent by signing a new deal with Juventus, according to the player's agent Pierpaolo Triulzi.
Juve handed Dybala a new contract worth €7 million-per-year in April, a deal that will ostensibly keep the 23-year-old attacker in Turin until 2022 at least.
Prior to pledging his future to the Bianconeri, the former Palermo starlet had been on the radar of a host of clubs, with Real Madrid among those linked.
Despite committing to Juventus, Dybala's name continues to be attached with Europe's elite clubs, but his agent insists that he is happy in Italy.
"The interest in him was very high and it is obvious that many teams were seriously interested in him. If you write that most of Europe asked about Paulo, you'd write the truth" Triulzi told Corriere dello Sport.
He continued: "For me, the contract renewal was a very important signal from Juventus to its fans and to other teams.
"And it was also an important message to fans: Paulo Dybala is happy, as is his family, and this proves it."
Dybala has been likened to his compatriot Lionel Messi, with Juve supporters relishing the prospect that they could have one of the world's next superstars on their hands. However, Triulzi has played down comparisons to the Barcelona icon, insisting that his client remains focused on always improving.
"Messi is a very hard-to-reach player, just like [Diego] Maradona was," he said.
"These are suggestions of the media. I just think that Paulo Dybala wants to work hard to improve every day."
