Man Utd hero brands Arsenal attacker Alexis 'pathetic and childish'
Former Manchester United defender Paul McGrath has branded Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez as "pathetic".
McGrath wrote for the Sunday World: "There is only one punishment that would befit the pathetic and childish antics we saw from Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez last Wednesday - and that is taking his mobile phone off him for a week!
"To see one of the best players in the Premier League rolling around after Leicester's Christian Fuchs threw the ball in his direction was one of the most ridiculous scenes we have seen this season.
"What was he thinking? Did Sanchez believe anyone would fall for antics that may have been designed to try and get Fuchs sent off?
"Everyone at Emirates Stadium was laughing at him and the same was true as the incident quickly became a big talking point on social media as well.
"If he had any sense, Sanchez would have realised that he had made a fool of himself and just hoped it would have been forgotten amid a busy week of Premier League football.
"Yet he made matters far, far worse by taking a photo of his 'injured' lip and posting it on Twitter.
"Come on man, do you honestly think people are going to believe you were in agony because of that little cut?"
