Meulensteen: Lukaku not good enough for Man Utd
Former Manchester United coach Rene Meulensteen has warned them off Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.
Meulensteen, Sir Alex Ferguson's assistant manager at United for six years, believes the Premier League's leading goalscorer this season is not good enough for United.
“Lukaku has had a fantastic season, he's a goalscorer etc etc. But at Manchester United you need a few more strings to your bow," Meulensteen told talkSPORT.
“If you play at the highest level your finesse on the ball, your decision-making needs to be absolutely spot on.
“Yes he will bring power, he'll bring some strength but if you look at the strikers United have had [over the years] does he fit in that same line of striker? I don't think so."
