Real Madrid president Florentino seeks early summer agreement for De Gea

Real Madrid will seek an early summer deal for
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea.

The Daily Mail says Real Madrid want to make De Gea
their first signing of the summer to ensure there is no
repeat of the soap opera from two seasons ago.
Real president Florentino Perez has been waiting for
the chance to unveil De Gea since the comedy of errors
two years ago.
De Gea's contract was ready for him in 2015 with the
player set to earn around 6.5million euros (£5.5m) a
season. Manchester United renewed his deal once he
stayed and Madrid will now need to match his United
money, making him comfortably the club's highest-paid
keeper ever.
The priority within the club is for the transfer to be a
smooth one after the embarrassment of the broken fax
machine – archaic football speak for a failure to comply
with FIFA's Transfer Matching System (TMS).
